Singer Olakira (Adefemi Ebenezer) has expressed his displeasure over false reports claiming that Davido begged him for a verse on his 2020 hit song Maserati.

The reports allegedly stemmed from an interview where Olakira shared his experience working with Davido on the track.

Olakira took to social media to correct the misinformation, stating that Davido was actually enthusiastic and willing to collaborate on the song. Also, he revealed that Davido even called him via video while recording his verse in the studio.

Additionally, the singer urged bloggers to verify information before posting. He said, “Bloggers abeg start verifying your information before posting nonsense. Nowhere in that interview did I say Davido was desperate. Get your facts straight.”
